A special thanks to all the musicians that joined us for the Under:40 Music Marathon September 28 through 30, 2012 at the Hard Rock Cafe - Washington, DC. Over 150 local artists (50+ bands total), along with an "American Idol" winner and finalist, combined their talents to draw attention to the importance of breast cancer awareness for women and for men – particularly those under the age of 40.

Andrew Tufano is a 17 year old singer/songwriter from Sterling VA. Being a first
place winner of the NSBA electronic music talent search at age 11, Andrew began pursuing music at a young age. Since then has fashioned a multifaceted pop blend of
jazz, blues, and soul reminiscent of John Mayer, Jason Mraz, and Ed Sheeran. He spends his time playing local gigs (such as JamminJava, Tally Ho!, and Ned Devines),
songwriting, and giving piano lessons to neighborhood kids. In 2012 Andrew wrote and recorded his first EP titled Right Where We Should Be.
Displaying a level of achievement that belies her age, the Washington D.C. native
spent the last year appearing at concerts, performing the National Anthem at major sporting events, writing and recording songs with national level musicians, and
acting as national spokesperson for an anti-bullying campaign All this by the age of sixteen. With influences ranging from Amy Lee to Kelly Clarkson to Led Zeppelin,
Becca recently headed into the studio in Boston to record her latest release "Never Alone". One hundred percent of the money derived from the sale of the new songs
will benefit anti-bullying awareness. This is the second release of music in 2012. Just three months ago Becca released "Homage", a five song set that features music
written by artists Becca loves and respects. These songs are time tested hits that have withstood the various fads that have occurred in my life, says the young
singer/songwriter. I tried to make these songs my own while still paying tribute to the original versions.
Built from the ashes of vox pop, D.C.'s finest purveyors of Americana pop, Benny combines
elements of roots rock, country swing, and indie folk, with a focus on strong songwriting. Benny has filled out its acoustic sound with danceable rhythms, lush vocal
harmonies, and a sonic palette that's guaranteed to capture a crowd's attention. According to Sun News, "Benny the Band demonstrates a special command of melody, and
is quickly securing a place among the greats of DC's local music community." A friend and fellow musician says our sound is "angelic cowboy." We'll go with that. Benny
has played such venues as the Black Cat, IOTA, the Hamilton, the Red Palace, and nearly every other major venue in the DC metro area.
Hailing from Washington D.C., Black Dog Prowl have cut out their own untouched
niche in the D.C. music scene. Gritty vocalist and guitarist Josh Finver fronts this four-piece that also features Robert Peters on lead guitar and an explosive rhythm
section made up of bassist Schuyler Allen and drummer Enzo Ferroggiaro. Though the band takes inspiration from rock pioneers, Black Dog Prowl has separated from the
pack with their contemporary mix of hard blues, grunge and rock. Their debut album, Half Truths & Lies (2010) garnered gushing reviews and praise for its grungy edge
and palpable blues influence. Dan Miller of OnTap Magazine stated, Black Dog Prowl are producing music indicative of a band with far more miles on their career. Their
debut album, Half Truths & Lies, exemplifies this fact as the group packages screaming guitar riffs, alternating lead vocalists, and door-busting drums into a unique
and gripping ten tracks. Black Dog Prowl followed their debut success with the Vapor EP, released in January. The EP's explosive title track has received airplay on
Baltimores 98 Rock, along with several internet and college radio stations.
With their debut album Everything Was And Everything Will Be, the Baltimore/DC-
based trio Bravenoise redefines the meaning of a modern pop-rock band via both their recordings and their commanding live shows. The Bravenoise sound is based on a
roux of prominent and soulful grooves, flavored by infectious melodies, catchy pop hooks, and clever arrangements, with a hint of Caribbean and Latin influences in
their rock and roll mix. The band draws upon the reggae-inflected pop of The Police, the visionary artfulness of Radiohead, combined with the driving groove of the
Motown sound, and the cool sultriness of Antonio Carlos Jobim's Brazilian jazz. Recording with Baltimores J. Robbins, known for his work with artists including Jawbox,
Clutch, Against Me!, and The Dismemberment Plan, Bravenoise recorded their full-length debut on a mixing board formerly owned by Roy Orbison. Individually or
collectively, the band and its members have played across the country and around the world, performing locally at events like Taste of Bethesda, The Baltimore Book
Festival, and Brazil Day, at local establishments including Rams Head Live, DC9, Iota Club and the 8'10, and nationally at venues like Tulsas historic Cains Ballroom
and T.T. the Bear's Place in Boston. The trio parlayed the release of Everything Was And Everything Will Beinto Deli Magazine's DC-area Band of the Month in August
2011.

God is raising up an army of worshipers who understand the power of the Presence. One of those worshipers is psalmist CD Porter. A gifted musician and vocalist, CD's music is simply a vehicle used to spread the love of God to His people and to help them understand that everything they need is found in worship. The songwriter, producer and worship leader is one of today's up-and-coming artists, a singer with a passion for praise. Having contributed his talents to multiple recordings, the Worship Director for New Life Anointed Ministries in Woodbridge, VA, is now readying his national debut entitled, Declaration. Releasing on May 22, 2012, Declaration is a stunning collection of praise and worship and contemporary gospel tunes set to inspire, uplift and encourage the believer.
With a God-inspired vision and "Fresh Oil' (the name of his record label), Declaration is a musical collage of testimonies of God showing Himself mighty over every mountain and through every valley in CD's life. An incredibly personal record, it is because of God's love and faithfulness for CD, that this singer will “DECLARE His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples” (IChronicles 16:24). CD shares, “There are so many people in our society declaring what they believe. I am declaring that Jesus is still Lord and that holiness is still right”.
In an industry filled with trends, fads, fashions, and flash-in-the-pan stories of
"here today, gone tomorrow" generic flavors of the month, the one thing that remains constant is the need and love for pure, classic, hard rock and
roll.
John Allen, vocalist, songwriter and founding member of Baltimore's Charm City Devils, knows this.
Rock and roll has been his passion since childhood. It has taken him into clubs, studios, tour buses, arenas, and around the world, as a drummer in his own bands and
now as the frontman for Charm City Devils, whose debut album, appropriately titled Let's Rock-N-Roll, on Eleven Seven Music, helmed by label President Nikki Sixx.
Charm City Devils was recently named iTunes' 2009 Rewind New Rock Band of the Year.

The name comes from an art movement indigenous to DC in the late 50's early 60's.
Being from DC, we wanted our name to tie to something unique about DC that is apolitical. The three of us have all been in past DC bands. It is a wonder we have never
played together before. Well, not really... but time gives you that sense. I would love to tell you more. But really it might be best to do so when we meet. Otherwise,
we are just pontificating. So, we look forward to a beer with you; either at one of our shows or one of yours.
Whether you're stepping outside for the day or having a cold glass of water as you
sit on the front porch; you can't help but hear and feel the upcoming lyrical dimensions and rhythmic vibrations of Cool-Breeze. Born Tavon Smith, in Suffolk,
Virginia, Cool-Breeze developed an early talent in the fourth grade. His teachers attention to his writing skills both advanced and creatively- styled, they hastily
provided opportunities for him to express himself through poetry. As years progressed, Cool-Breeze joined the youth choir at his local church where the influence of
music combined with his poetic obsession created a more curious developing artist. The discovery of Cool-Breezes talents wouldn't stop there...while under the
leadership of Joshua Jenkins, he ventured into acting. To that end continued to write his poetry and perform throughout the community. Struggling to find his
particular position in the arts, Cool-Breeze joined the group, DiceBoyz ENT at the age of 16. It was during this time that music not only resurfaced, but became a
relevant catalyst to his passion to write, act, sing, and rap. One would think that electrifying and cool couldn't be in the same sentence; but when Cool- Breeze hits
the stage, it is just that...an electrifying-coolness blend of poetry and music. As all aspiring artists do, Cool-Breeze and the DiceBoyz began covering every rap and
R&B song that hit the charts. With a consistent flow of devoting time to his first love, poetry, Cool- Breeze has performed on several local radio stations and at
major functions throughout the DMV Metropolitan area. In 2011, Cool-Breeze performed in the highly competitive DMV Glee hosted by 93.9s Angie Ange and Cultural
Communications Fugi. A competition full of a vast amount of artists and performers, Cool-Breeze surfaced as the winner of a cash prize and walked away with bragging
rights.Cool-Breeze has performed at multiple events at Prince Georges Community College, the Showplace Arena for the annual Catwalk Classics, local high schools and
recreation centers, and has collaborated with Boss Gang and Solo D. His works are produced by JMarcus and Ceddi Tesla. DiceBoyz maintains an ongoing relationship as a
group generating what they refer to as, fertile- legendary music. Cool-Breeze focuses mostly on his music as he has transformed what was once, moving poetry to Lethal
Rap.Cool-Breeze is managed by KJW Consulting and is available for interviews, shows, concerts, and other booking appearances.

With sites like VH1.com, pandora.com, and billboard.com now comparing
the dreamscapes project to prominent bands like the Decemberists, Arcade Fire, and the Dave Matthews Band, its hard to imagine that a decade ago, when budding
singer/songwriter Keith Center approached composition major Jeremy Rodgers about forming the band, that he promptly replied "No".
Although it took till 2006 to find its final line up, even Rodgers would admit that he never imagined the legion of loyal listeners which has followed this
eccentric quintet since he reconsidered that fateful day. Fronted by 12-string acoustic guitar and cello, the addition of melodic bass grooves and world percussion
makes it a struggle to define a genre narrower than "acoustic". Undaunted theScapes coined the name "folk-core" and have gone on to be
called"…one of the most innovative bands to come out of the East Coast in the last decade." (Jim M., CWG Magazine).
With the bands last release however, theScapes began racking up statistics and accolades. Despite being free of almost all representation, over the next two
years they preceded to play over 120 shows in 10 states, including headlining the legionary 930 club, sharing the bill with acts like Blues Traveler, Ok Go, Bowling
for Soup, Pat McGee, Good Charlotte, and Steven Kellogg and the Sixers.
Drawing from the diverse music scene of Baltimore, Maryland, Driven to Clarity
fuses a mix of popular rock, funk, and pop rhythms to create a distinct sound that separates them from the field of other bands. Driven to Clarity appeals to both
lovers of mainstream music and independent music alike.
A young energetic band, Driven to Clarity has taken the Baltimore music scene by storm. Shooting through the music charts on ReverbNation, Driven to Clarity has
broken into and has held a position within the Top Ten singer/songwriter charts for Baltimore, Maryland since April 2012.
As Andy and Dave played throughout Maryland, they heard similar statements from listeners, "You guys shouldn't play covers; play your originals because we like them
better." Today, Driven to Clarity can be seen playing both as a duo and a full band throughout the Baltimore and Washington, DC areas.
The Future was created by the three founding members (JamesPoet, EY, Marcus Wilson). Since
the year 2010 the alternative band has thrilled audiences across DC, Virginia, and Maryland with their tremendous energy and their proven ability to entertain
audiences of all ages. Melding the essence of Hip Hop, Alternative, Soul, and GoGo; and in the styles of The Roots, Earth Wind & Fire, and Linkin Park; The Future
combines the very best of many genres of music, while entertaining and captivating audiences with their sincerity and power.
By combining the choicest elements of popular music, Gallons to Ounces make
feel-good rock that appeals to any listener. Matt Cummings, Zach Miller and Tom Hatcher blend elements of blues, soul and jazz with infectious riffs that often make
you aggressively bop your head. Live shows stress improvisation within an energetic, groove-oriented frame. G2O pays tribute to a great heritage of music with covers
of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan and Tears For Fears. Their refreshing sound, powerful melodies and dynamic performances have propelled
G2O into the spotlight. Winning the 2012 Hard Rock Cafe Rising only confirms that they are the new sound, the sound of DC.

Harriet Vanderpool grew up in a family where Christ was first. As a family they attended New Hope Baptist Church in Chesapeake, Va. At an early age she became a member of the children's choir and later joined the junior and adult choir. Upon graduating from Deep Creek High School, she relocated to Lawton, Oklahoma where she pursued her gift as a singer, songwriter, and choir director.

Harris Face is a folk-rock-blues artist from Washington, DC. Percussive guitar,
harmonica, and emotive rock dominate his music, drawing comparisons with an acoustic Springsteen, the Counting Crows, and modern roots crusaders like William Elliott
Whitmore. Sprinkling light banter between his folk ramblings and blues confessionals, Harris Face has a voice that is at times nostalgic and hopeful, at times serious
and ironic, but always full of the dreams and withdrawals of a DC political junkie.
HeLO (pronounced he-low) was formed in May of 2009 in Fairfax Virginia by John Ireland
(Guitar/Vox) and Soren Bakken (Bass/Vox). Drawn together through friends and by their mutual admiration of science fiction and guitar driven indie pop, the guys
auditioned a sleu of players and picked up the amazing Ron Mitchell (Guitar/Vox) and Sean Owen (Drums) to round out the HeLO sound. HeLO's song writing is heavily
influenced by the pop sensibilities of the Beatles, Weezer, All American Rejects, Fountains of Wayne, and Hot Hot Heat. To counter-balance the sweet constructs of a
HeLO song, the guys incorporate deliberate, salty guitar tones reminiscent of the Rolling Stones, Pixies, Janes Addiction and three part vocal harmonies to create the
textures of their signature sound. The bands live performances are intense, upbeat, and polished. Music fans of all backgrounds, demographics and genres identify with
the HeLO sound. If you ever have the opportunity to catch these guys live, jump at it!

Emcee, songwriter, youth worker, poet, skateboarder, an all-around genuine spirit. Javier Starks fuses clean lyrics with varied vocal melodies to create his unique flow. From intricate double or sometimes even triple entendres, to subtle poems, his range is truly boundless. Though often compared to musicians from HipHops Golden Era, Javier finds inspiration in every genre of music. As a result his works have found homes in the hearts of many, age is never an issue. Given a chance to reach Baltimore and DC youth in 2005, Javier made a decision to that had be the role model that MOST were seeking. Currently he works closely with an extremely talented production team at House Studio DC. His latest project Faces Of Change has brought together some of the brightest acts in his area. Now aligned with others who share a similar vision, its hard to believe such a talent would fall short. Driven, humble and a true student of his craft, we expect many great things from Javier in the days to come.
Straddling the line between heart-rending ballads and beer-soaked drinking anthems might
not come easy to some, but the acoustic guitar-driven act known as Johari is a study in dichotomy. Andrew E. Ullman started composing material for what would later be
called Johari late in 2001, with the intention of writing songs that were primarily biographical in nature. However, as time went on, Andrew's inspiration and
imagination moved him to write about not only his personal and romantic involvements, but also fictional tales of a darker and more serious tone. Onstage, Andrew
displays an intensity that galvanizes even the most passive of spectators while maintaining a genuine sensitivity that truly resonates with listeners. With a list of
influences as varied as the night is long, Johari runs the gamut of rock sub-genres. Johari combines undeniable lyricism with relentless fury and a dash of wistful
angst to create a musical experience not to be missed and not soon to be forgotten.
Somewhere in-between John Prine and Jason Mraz lies Justin Trawick, a Washington, DC based singer-songwriter working hard to etch his name in
musical history. Described as "Our Own John Mayer" by the Washington Post, Trawick describes his brand of music as "Urban Folk Rock." This
flexibility has allowed him the opportunity to open for such artists as Brett Dennen, Sara Bareilles, Pat Green, Cowboy Mouth, Edwin McCain, The Duhks, Pat McGee,
The Hackensaw Boys, Bob Schneider, The Gourds, Jill Sobule, and even the Ying Yang Twins. Often playing with a bassist, drummer, and electric guitar, his lyrics are
gritty yet sweet, often referencing lessons learned or hopes for a better future.
His debut album, "How to Build a Life With a Lemonade Stand," is a drums-on-the-steering-wheel ride through thirteen songs cap tured live just as if
he were playing in your living room. He followed that up with a full-length album "Live at IOTA" i n May 2008, demonstrating of how Justin and his band had
grown in a year. His most recent EP is entitled "Starting Over." The naked, emotional, lyrically compelling album is full of pleasant, persistent hooks and

Lloyd Dobler Effect has been full time touring musicians for almost a
decade, having performed in over forty states and thirteen countries. The band has an impressive list of accomplishments: winners of the 99.1 WHFS Big Break Contest
that pitted LDE against hundreds of area rock bands and led to several main stage appearances at the Washington DC HFStival; headlining multiple international Armed
Forces Entertainment tours; and being voted one of the top ten best bands on the east coast in a Washington Post reader's poll. LDE has amassed a solid and growing fan
base and they love their fans.
The name for the group comes from the main character in the 1989 movie "Say Anything" starring John Cusack, where Lloyd Dobler held a large boombox over his head
outside of his girlfriend's window and blasted "In Your Eyes" in an effort to describe his feelings for her. This image soon became an iconic symbol of romance by an
entire generation of women who expect similar expressions of love from their mates. The LDE name was primarily adopted because the band wants that same feeling to come
across in their music.
The indie rock trio from Richmond, VA, brings together three songwriters who share a penchant for melody. Started by Mark Brown, Tyler Crowley and
Matt Klimas, the band is built on the interplay between their unique musical styles and influences. Blending pop, rock, and a hint of alt-country they craft hook-
laden songs with tight layers of guitars and lush harmonies. At times anthemic and at others atmospheric, their music bares traces of mystery that both evoke and
intrigue.

Matt Tarka is a singer/songwriter whose introspective lyrics and sharp rhythms are
designed for your back porch or a ride into town. Tarkas songs can jolt you like a conversation with an old friend, picking up right where you left off on the trail.
He has been compared to rockers turned folk artists including Kevin Seconds, Vic Ruggiero, Jesse Malin, TV Smith and Gene Clark. He can be found performing his brand
of folk rock at such venues as The Velvet Lounge (DC), IOTA (VA), The Ottobar (Baltimore), MilkBoy Coffee/The Fire/Dawson Street Pub (Philadelphia), among many others.
Tarka recorded his debut EP in July 2011 titled Motorcycle Breakfast, produced by Dave Mallen. This collection of songs delivers a poignant message in a somewhat
playful and endearing way. DC Rock Lives David Hintz writes: The best of his style are the vocal lines he writes that are simple enough on the face of things, but have
a few hooky moments that bring his songs to life.
MELODIME, a band of brothers from a farm outside Washington D.C., were taught at a
young age not to despise small beginnings. From a humble upbringing to lowly tavern shows they've fought an uphill battle to become one of the premier bands in the
metropolitan area. Their cross-genre sound, a great catalogue of songs and a dynamic live show have garnered them the attention of the industry and music fans of all
ages.
Before playing under the glamorous lights of respectable clubs, MELODIME (Bradley, Sam, and Tyler) sharpened their skills in one of the least glamorous places
imaginable: the hayloft of the family barn. In the sweltering heat of summer and the bitter cold of winter, the boys emulated the sounds of Tom Petty, Dave Matthews
Band, and The Goo Goo Dolls for none other than a herd of horses in the surrounding fields. From there, they transitioned into playing in church bands which
keyboardist Sam Duis said, "…was a great experience. You're constantly playing with a different group of people and songs, which requires you to be flexible and
learn fast. Also, to read and play according to the atmosphere of the room and then see the effect your musical gifts can have on people is an incredible thing."
Those influences, both musical and non, are a huge contributor to MELODIME's songs, image and work ethic today.
Having backgrounds in a wide variety of music, MELODIME has landed on a clean, polished sound they've termed "Southern Fusion:" rootsy, colorful and
pleasing to those who hold an appreciation for the past, while simultaneously being catchy, contemporary and original. Their live performance is a point of strength as
they achieve with 3 guys (without the aid of backing tracks) what many 4 and 5 piece bands struggle to. The sound is full, energetic and refined, commonly praised as
being "better than the CD."
Memphis 59 is a rock band that currently hails from Arlington, Virginia. Their music can be
described as a combination of rock, alt-country, and pop. They are sonically influenced by Tom Petty, Paul Westerberg, The Old 97's, and too many more to list.
Described by Grammy Winner John Jennings as "ragged but right", Memphis 59 released their first full-length album in December, 2009, in collaboration with a
trio of Grammy winners.
Fronted by rhythm guitarist and singer-songwriter Scott Kurt, Memphis 59's regular line-up includes bassist Rich Lewis, Nate Taylor on lead guitar, and Chris Zogby
on drums. A long history of other bands, recording experiences, and shows behind them, the guys in Memphis 59 each say, in their own way, that this band feels more
like "home" for them than any other.
Singer/songwriter and U.S. Marine Mike Corrado has garnered national radio and
television airplay with videos featured on CMT, GAC and hit TV shows. Through the years, Mike has established a strong grassroots following and has recently opened for
the Black Eyed Peas, Bon Jovi and Daryl Worley with a sound that blurs rock and country genre lines. Mikes story and music have been featured nationally on CNN, ABC,
CBS, Rolling Stone Magazine, American Forces Radio & Television and on multiple cable Music-On-Demand channels.
Moch Pryderi (Welsh for "Pryderi's Pigs") is a six piece Welsh-American band from
Fredericksburg Virginia. The band formed as a result of the Fredericksburg Welsh festival in 1998 and has been together since. Their music is firmly rooted in the
traditional Brythonic-Celtic music of Wales and Brittany, occasionally interwoven with traditional music from Ireland, Scotland, Turkey, and the American-Appalachians.
Moch Pryderi has performed widely on the east coast, including the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., The Celtic Classic in Bethlehem Pa., the
Philadelphia Folk Festival, the Washington Folk Festival, the Fredericksburg Welsh Festival, the Philadelphia Welsh Festival, the Historic Rugby Tennessee Festival of
British & Appalachian Culture, the Celtic Nations Heritage Festival in Lake Charles Louisiana, the Welsh Heritage Center in Wymore Nebraska, and the North American
Festival of Wales in Cleveland Ohio.
Moch Pryderi's four CD s, "Dancing in the Pigsty", "Belly Jerk", "Jig Moch" and "Moch IV" contain a rich selection of Welsh traditional materials as well as
original works. Their 4th CD, "Moch IV", was nominated for the prestigious "WAMMIE" award in the traditional folk music category by the Washington Area Music
Association.
As one of the industry's most respected female-fronted bands, The Niki Barr Band
has built its reputation on its innate ability to blend power pop punk with hard rock passion. Led by vocalist Niki Barr, who embodies an edgy yet magnetic stage
presence, the group emanates an electrifying energy while pouring its heart into every performance. Resistant to conformity, this Baltimore-based band isn't afraid to
push the boundaries of music (or themselves) and continually challenges its fans to embark on a veritable rollercoaster ride of sorts with its menacing rock riffs,
soaring anthemic choruses and powerful rhythm section.
Today, in a musical climate where female-fronted bands such as Paramore and Flyleaf often make an easy comparison for the Niki Barr Band, the group's intangible
strength and confidence is enough to rival even the heaviest of the male-fronted bands. In fact, the group has even proven that it can hold its own by sharing the
stage with such heavy hitters as The Cult, Shinedown, Papa Roach, Chevelle, Drowning Pool, Hinder, Trapt, Sevendust, Puddle of Mudd, and 10 Years.
Now in 2011, the band prepares for touring behind its highly acclaimed record Radar Radio, which is already receiving much attention from radio stations nationwide.
"Our plan is to never stop. The minute you drift or doubt, you fail. We've been kicked too many times to turn back. We're in this 'til the grave. The question is...
Are you coming with us?"
An urban girl with a Southern heart and Eastern roots, Nita Chawla
grew up in both a musical and cultured family. Since the age of 5, she began singing with her makeshift family Vontrap, with her Dad often accompanying her on tablas.
At age 8 she started learning piano and picked up the acoustic guitar soon after.
A blend of adult contemporary, alternative, and pop, Nita's early influences were singer-songwriters Tori Amos, Sheryl Crow, and Alanis Morisette. During her teens,
she began to acquire a taste for rock acts like Garbage, U2, Coldplay, and pop sensations Madonna and Beyoncé. Nita's latest style is comparable to Adele and Colbie
Caillat; her voice as smooth as dark chocolate with surprise hazelnuts found in her sharp staccatos and percussive outbursts. The only difference? She's 100 %
Indian.
In 2010, Nita launched a 5-song EP on iTunes and has been performing more than ever since then in both NYC and DC. She recently has been performing on a monthly
basis at Bossa in Adam's Morgan, and has participated twice in "The 9 Singer-Songwriter Series," a travelling showcase based out of D.C. featuring nine artists from
various musical backgrounds. A short clip of her song "Forgive Me," was included on the first season of NBC's The Voice (2011) starring celebrity judges Christina
Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo, and Blake Shelton.
Noise in the Basement is a highly energetic cover band from Northern Virginia. Formed in 2010 NITB plays grunge leaning alternative with a touch of PunkFunk and we will rock out to our favorite songs by Sublime, Weezer, White Stripes and even throw in some Pink Floyd. Andy Buckholtz is the lead singer, supported by drummer extraordinaire and singer Alex Sirpus, bass player Derek Argust and guitar shredders Andy Krakowski and Dave Spink. These five talented musicians provide you with a true NITB experience! Good friends, Good music, and Good times!
"Tom Petty meets Patsy Cline." Olivia Mancini writes pop songs. Sometimes she
plays them by herself. Sometimes she plays them with the band. Upbeat, melody-driven, and not interested in being taken too seriously, Olivia-the-music is a lot like
Olivia-the-person. A Washington, DC, native, Olivia cut her teeth playing bass in the Washington Social Club. WSC disbanded in 2007, but Olivia and drummer/producer
Randy Scope continued to work together. Randy Scope produced Olivia Mancini & the Housemates' first album, This Kind of Life, that same year. The Chatterbox EP
(produced by Roger Greenawalt) followed in 2008, and You Can See the Mountains From Here (produced by Brian McTear) in 2009. A 7-inch vinyl single featuring "For
Ricky/You're the One" (produced by Roger Greenawalt) was released in 2011. Olivia also plays bass for Donny Hue and the Colors and writes music for movies like Always
Somebody's Baby and The Undying.

A staple on the DC scene for years (though the
lineup has changed), Practically Einstein has toured everywhere from New England to New Orleans, as well as throughout parts of Europe, with trips upcoming to Prague
and Copenhagen. PE recently released the single "Soldier Girl", a song dedicated to the women in the U.S. Armed Services. The song has appeared on the TV pilot "Young
Adult" and has gotten airplay on numerous stations, including one of the most heard stations in the nation's capital, DC101.
A regular at such venues around DC/MD/VA as IOTA, Whitlow's, Shamrockfest, and the 9:30 Club, the guys also try to balance the local shows with tours whenever
possible. So please ask about bringing PE to a venue near you! You can also often find the roving power duo of Brad and Smilin' Rob rocking their eclectic mix of
originals and covers at countless local bars, parties, festivals, and Irish pubs.
PE's music incorporates such influences as '70's garage, '80's new wave, '90's alt-rock, and Americana from the '00s, but always ties it together with infectious
pop hooks and bittersweet melodies. The guys all hail from elsewhere (including Jersey, Philly, and Detroit) but have bonded together to keep making music in the
transient, turbulent landscape inside the Beltway.
Rachel Levitin is a Chicago born singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist currently based in Washington, D.C. Having over a fifteen years of live performance experience under her belt as well as an unwavering passion for storytelling through song, Levitin continues to create an intimate show — no matter the stage — across the country.
From New York City to the District of Columbia, from Chicago to Nashville and beyond, Levitin’s taken her talents to the likes of America’s biggest music cities and has been welcomed with open arms. It’s her ability to grab an audience by the ears and convince them to listen whole-hardheartedly to her performance that enables Levitin to enchant a crowd. It’s also what keeps listeners coming back for more.
Levitin’s style ranges from folk-influenced rock songs to country storytelling with a dash of blue notes thrown in for good measure. Fans of American rock, soul, and jazz will find hints of their favorite genre’s history combined with Levitin’s emotional performance to make for quite the compelling live show. Her performance style has been compared to the likes of some of rock’s timeless acts including Janis Joplin and Stevie Nicks as well as country’s Loretta Lynn.
Levitin spent her teenage years studying all things music including voice leading, chromatic theory, music history, and performance. During that time, she studied under the guidance of the same Jazz instructors as Grammy Award winner Norah Jones at the Interlochen Arts Camp and the same songwriting instructors as Grammy Award winner John Mayer at the Berklee College of Music.
She’s also shared the stage with Funk-Rock-Jazz fusion band Big Sam’s Funky Nation and independent rock album of the year nominees Filligar, in addition to modern Jazz artists Conrad Herwig and Bob Mintzer thanks to her time at the world-renowned Interlochen Center for the Arts.
Rene Moffatt writes poignant lyrics, memorable melodies and plays soulful, acoustic
folk-rock in the realm of Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, and Jackson Browne. This DC-based songster just released his debut EP "Here And Now Is Home" and is destined to
continue making waves in the region's music scene. Keep an eye out around town for this up-and-coming songwriter.
The electronic pop/hard rock outfit Rites of Ash has always been known for accepting
nothing less than perfection when it comes to their work. Combining countless influences into a unified and original sound has helped define the band as innovators in
an industry desperately lacking originality. No genre or sound is off-limits for the band; this is evident in their extensive list of influences that include Linkin
Park, Skrillex, Nine Inch Nails, RedOne, and Lady Gaga. Rites of Ash has had their music featured on several MTV shows including 'The Real World' and 'Pimp My Ride',
as well as their music videos played on Fuse TV.

The angelic voice of Tanya Dallas-Lewis serves as the perfect example of what
happens when we allow our gifts to make room for us. Charting on all (3) gospel music charts, Tanya received two nomination for the 2012-27th Annual Stellar Awards
(New Artist of the Year and Contemporary Female Vocalist of the Year). She was also a nominee for the 2011 South Florida Gospel Music Awards this past July, she was a
three time nominee for the Rhythm of Gospel Awards, and is a 2010 YGEA Awards winner for "Best Female Performer of the Year." She was also nominated for a 20111
Washington Area Music Award (Wammies).
With one listen you'll soon discover that Tanya was destined to sing. Tanya has shared the stage with many gospel greats. From singing the National Anthem for Jesse
Jackson and the Mayor of D.C., to sharing the stage with artists like Donnie McClurkin, Vickie Winans, Mary Mary, Kenny Lattimore, Canton Jones, Richard Smallwood,
Fred Hammond, Canton Jones, Dwayne Woods, Dawkins & Dawkins and many more.
Tanya's debut release entitled "Miracles" has opened many doors on her behalf and is taking the gospel industry by storm.
In July, Tanya was featured on BET Dr. Bobby Jones in Washington D.C. She is also one of twenty women selected from two hundred influential D.C. moms to 'Walk the
Runway' for charity at the Runway Moms for a Cause. Her music video "Something about a Miracle" is airing nationally, in heavy rotation on BET, and receiving over
70,000 views virally. You can also catch her on The Word Network.
In gleaning from Tanya's ministry, one will soon discover, she doesn't just sing the Gospel but she lives it as she champions the message of God and His "keeping
power" everywhere she goes. As the daughter of a preacher, obeying God was instilled in her at an early age. She did not give in to peer pressure, what made her cool,
or what was the latest trend. Humble, but not perfect, Tanya lives by this passage of scripture "obedience is better than sacrifice" and God is honoring her obedience.
Her desire is to live a life that makes God famous. By honoring Him, she rests in the assurance that God will get the glory out of everything she does and the work of
her hands.
Ushering in a new golden age of live entertainment is Ted Garber, a genre-bending
multi-instrumentalist whose "BluesAmericanaRock" combines classic showmanship with a captivating singer-songwriter sensibility. His smokey, bluesy vocals, howling
harmonica riffs and screaming guitar licks are enticing audiences wordwide, taking us on a diverse musical journey from the Big Apple to the Big Easy, hovering in the
Mississippi Delta before heading South of the Border.
Ask Ted about his musical influences, and four passions shine through-the iconic time-honored entertainers of his childhood, such as Sinatra and Elvis, his late
folk-rock musician father, the rhythm and blues scene of New Orleans, and insatiable globe-trotting. His thirst for new experiences has led him to more than 30
countries on four continents. Whether it's a dingy shantytown motel room in Tanzania, a Brazilian beach hut jam session, a single-mom waiting tables at Denny's, or
the smiling shoe-shining oracle on a New Orleans street corner, Garber's walking, hitching, gigging, chicken-and-goat-bus-cultural-immersion is what steers his musical
odyssey.
Soaring & unrepentant arena rock, transcendent
acoustic ballads, deep and dark bass grooves - all punctuated with a hint of the blues. This is the unique sonic landscape created by Ted Hovis & the Stolen Camaros,
hailing from the Washington DC area.
Featuring Ted Hovis on lead vocals/lead guitar, Mark Beeson on bass/vocals, Ted Dumas on drums, and Dick Busby on rhythm guitar/keyboards, they combine elements of
modern rock, hard rock, blues, funk, electronic, and acoustic genres to create a sound that draws upon familiar sources yet occupies a space all its own.
The band was formed in mid-2011 in support of Ted's acclaimed solo album "Let It Shine", which has received overwhelmingly positive reviews across the US and Europe
with two tracks receiving honors in the prestigious SAW Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. Critics have consistently compared the album's guitar driven, melodic sound to
elite rock acts such as U2, Kings of Leon, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, and Led Zeppelin to name a few.
The Vagabond Union is an Alternative Americana / Rock band based in the
Carolinas consisting of Dave Hedeman, John Kenney, Dave Cannon and G. Malin Wagnon. Hedeman and Kenney met in college, and have since shared a mutual respect while
pursuing other musical endeavors. Hedeman was the frontman for the southern rock band PuddleDuck, and Kenney and Cannon were the lead guitar player and drummer for the
rock band Rotoglow.
Finally, the time has come for them to combine their talents and create a sound that rings true to their years of touring and traveling. Truth, guts, the American
dream, and hard luck stories fuel their salt-of-the-earth songwriting style.
Sharing songwriting and lead singing duties in The Vagabond Union, Hedeman and Kenney, along with drummer/percussionist Dave Cannon, feel that they are finally in a
place where they are completely comfortable and free musically. There are no expectations, no big dreams, and no record companies.
There is just one common goal: to make great American music.
